David King is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Sovereign Medical and Co-Founder of Sovereign USA. Since founding Sovereign Medical in 2000, he has led the development and growth of the company, building long-standing partnerships with surgeons, healthcare providers, and global medical technology manufacturers.

Under his leadership, Sovereign Medical has established itself as a specialist distributor and commercialization partner for innovative orthopaedic and regenerative technologies across international markets.

As Co-Founder of Sovereign USA, David supports the expansion of the company into the United States as part of Sovereign’s broader international growth strategy.
Co-Founder, Vice President & Director of Clinical Implementation – Sovereign USA

Kelly Williams is Co-Founder of Sovereign USA and serves as Vice President and Director of Clinical Implementation, where she leads the company’s U.S. strategy, market expansion, and clinical adoption of next-generation medical technologies.

With nearly 20 years of experience in orthopaedic medical devices, Kelly specializes in translating innovative technologies into scalable clinical and commercial platforms. She began her career with Orthofix before joining Sovereign Medical more than a decade ago, helping introduce advanced surgical technologies across international markets.

At Sovereign USA, she designed and is leading the national rollout of ultrasound-guided minimally invasive procedures using the Spirecut sono-surgery platform, while also advancing the commercialization of metal-free 3D-printed PEKK implants for complex orthopaedic reconstruction.

Based in Florida, Kelly is building Sovereign USA into a national platform for minimally invasive procedures and advanced orthopaedic biomaterials

Our Clinical Advisory Board

Supporting our leadership is a Clinical Advisory Board of respected surgeons at the forefront of their field. Working closely with healthcare professionals they ensure our solutions are shaped by real-world insight and the needs of those delivering patient care every day.

Mr Chris Little, BSc (Hons), MB ChB, FRCS (Orth), is a Consultant Hand and Upper Limb Surgeon based at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

Appointed as a consultant in 2005, he has extensive experience treating the full spectrum of upper limb conditions, from carpal tunnel syndrome and tendon injuries to complex wrist and elbow reconstruction. He has a particular clinical interest in arthroscopic wrist and shoulder surgery.

Mr Little is widely respected for his research contributions and has published extensively on scaphoid fracture fixation, elbow replacement surgery and postoperative rehabilitation. He is also an active educator and clinical lead for Shoulder, Elbow and Hand Surgery in Oxford.
Mr Nick Riley, MBBS, FRCS (Tr&Orth), Dip Hand Surg, is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust with specialist expertise in hand, wrist and elbow surgery.

He trained in London and Oxford before completing a dedicated hand fellowship in Oxford and visiting fellowships at the Mayo Clinic and Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.

Mr Riley is a recognised advocate of minimally invasive hand surgery and has integrated ultrasound guided techniques into his practice, enabling incisionless carpal tunnel and trigger finger procedures with rapid recovery.

He maintains an active academic profile and is widely respected for his teaching and surgical education.
Mr Suddhajit “Jit” Sen, FRCS (Tr&Orth), FEBHS, PGCert (Med Ed), is a Consultant Orthopaedic Hand and Wrist Surgeon at Raigmore Hospital, NHS Highland.

With more than two decades of experience, he specialises in reconstructive hand surgery, peripheral nerve surgery, fracture fixation, microsurgery and modern ultrasound guided procedures.

Mr Sen holds the European Board Diploma in Hand Surgery and is widely recognised for his commitment to education and training. He serves as Associate Director of Medical Education for NHS Highland and is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Dundee. He is also an active faculty member on orthopaedic training courses and regularly teaches surgeons and trainees.
